A Single Shot

Masterpiece
Superb film. Powerful, atmospheric and moody. All the acting is skillful and convincing and the suspense builds to a very dark and fatalistic ending. In fact for those who know the great E.C. horror comics of the 1950s you will recognize a very similar type of ending to what they were famous for. The director is one of the best independent film makers working today in my opinion and has two excellent films already to his credit before he did this. I find it amusing that people who like absolute garbage can knock this film. I understand if this is not liked because the subject is rather relentlessly dark but this is an adult film with serious intent. In a film world populated by torture porn, vulgar comedies, and comic book heroes at least give due consideration to a director who tries to rise above that muck.

Best movie I've seen in a long time.
Certain people are going to love this movie. Certain people are going to hate it. If you really enjoyed Transformers, stay away because there are no Transformers in this movie.

Well Done!
I can't imagine going wrong with Sam Rockwell and William H. Macy. The director was spot on also. The pace was poignant... it started a bit slow... but that was the intent. By midway through, my eyes were wide open to see what would happen. Thank you for doing your part (movie makers) to preserve human artistic integrity.
